Chocolate Protein balls

We are what we eat. That’s a fact. So, it’s a good habit to eat consciously, look for foods that are good for you – good fats, fiber, minerals and other nutrients. That is why when I prepare my snacks I always try to keep them as simple and as nutrient dense possible. 

These balls are exactly this – packed with protein and vitamins! Your perfect on the go snack for any time of the day. 

Ingredients: IMG_7411

1 cup almonds

1/2 cup oats

1 scoup (30gr) vegan chocolate protein powder

1 tbsp cacao

5 pitted medjool dates

2 tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp peanut butter

a pinch of salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp coconut oil

 

How to:

1. Mix all ingredients together in a food processor until well combined.

2. Roll dough into balls and refrigerate for a couple of hours.

 

tips:

because vegan protein powders tend to be a bit sweet, you might want to add more salt or more cacao to make it a bit more to your taste.

I used the almond meal after i made my almond milk. if you are using almonds, soak them 4-6 hours before you make your balls.
