Matcha is somewhat my current obsession! Or at least one of them! I used to read about all its benefits and I have to say I was fully convinced when I tried it! It had such an amazing effect on my energy levels and mood. Now, not a day passes by without something matcha infused!
A few words about matcha: it is made from tea leaves and is packed with antioxidants, boosts metabolism, calms the mind and relaxes the body, enhances mood and is rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins.
Ingredients:
1 cup walnuts and 1 cup cashews (or any other combination you prefer really)
6 big dates
4 tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp tahini
2 tbsp matcha powder
2 tbsp agave syrup or maple syrup or other sweetener of your choice
a pinch of salt
How to:
- Blend the nuts and dates well.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and pulse until well combined.
- Pour the mixture in a tray, lined with parchment paper and place in the fridge overnight.
- Sprinkle with some matcha powder and enjoy.
