Tete’s healthy bars

I’ve been trying for so long to get my kids to eat healthier. It’s really been a battle, one which i too often lose! This week, i had a small win: my youngest one not only helped me develop these bars, she actually tried them and loved them! So I named them after her! She was so proud!

They are packed with so much goodness and are easy to like, even for the most fussy eaters!

Ingredients: tete's bars

2 cups oats

1/2 cup almonds

1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup sunflower seeds

2 tbsp almond (or peanut) butter

3/4 cup raisins

5 medjool dates

1/2 cup maple (or agave) syrup

3 tbsp chia seeds

1 tbsp cinnamon

How to:

  1. preheat the over to 180C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. blend all the dry ingredients together and then add the wet ingredients.
  3. you way need to add some water, just so the mixture becomes a bit sticky.
  4. pour it in the baking tray and bake for about 15 minutes.
  5. let it cool and then cut into bars
