What a great indulgence…. in the form of a snack! You’ve got the goodness of oats, walnuts and chia seeds as well as cacao and dates for the ultimate energy and mood boost!
Ingredients:
6 pitted dates
3 – 4 tbsp cacao
3 tbsp chia seeds
3 tbsp coconut flakes or shredded coconut
1/3 cup oats
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 tsp vanilla extract
How to:
1. Pulse the dates, cacao, chia seeds, vanilla and coconut together and until all ingredients are well combined.
2. Put the mixture in a bowl and mix in the walnuts and oats.
4. Make small balls and refrigerate.
Tip: you can make bars instead by placing the mixture in a tray, with parchment paper and refrigerate overnight. Next day cut into bars.
