As a true Mediterranean, I love the mediterranean cuisine for the simplicity and authenticity of the ingredients and flavours! And pesto is really as basic as it gets! You can use it in wraps and sandwiches, in pasta, in pizzas, in salads! And it’s super easy to make.
(makes a small bowl)
2 cups basil leaves
1 garlic glove
3-4 tbsp nutritional yeast
1/2 cup olive oil
1/3 cup pine nuts
salts and pepper to taste
- Place the leaves, garlic and pine nuts in a blended and blend until almost completely cut.
- Pour the olive oil and blend.
- Add the nutritional yeast, salt and pepper.
