Apple and Blueberry Tart

This is a recipe my mum taught me, it’s really very easy to make but so delicious you will not be able to stop eating. It’s not that sweet, hence not heavy at all. Daniel says it should be part of your 5 a day, as it has so much fruit!

1 kg apples, peeled and slices 

1 cup blueberries

3 tbsp plum marmalade

3 tbsp organic sugar (or any type that can be used to caramelize the apples)

2 tbsp orange liqueur

1 tbsp cinnamon

1 puff pastry sheet

 

How to:

  1. Place your apples in a big saucepan with the sugar, liqueur and cinnamon and cook until they are caramelized.
  2. Place the puff pastry into a baking tray and pierce it very very well. Cook in a preheat oven for 15 minutes. at 180 degrees.
  3. When it is cooked, spread the marmalade and then the apples and blueberries and bake for 35-40 minutes.
