For those who love chocolate – try this!! It is a healthy, super indulgent way to start your day. There is no need for any sweetener because of the chocolate and the ripe banana and the orange zest gives it a great freshness and aroma. It’s also really filling.
Ingredients:
(for 2)
3/4 cup oats
1 ripe banana, mashed
1 flax egg (1 tbsp flaxseeds meal + 3 tbsp water, let them sit for 10 minutes)
a few pieces of dark chocolate, chopped (quantity really depends on how chocolaty you want it)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Zest of 1/2 orange
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
coconut flakes
3/4 cup almond milk (or other plant based milk)
How to:
- Preheat the oven at 180degrees
- In a bowl mix the oats, mashed banana, cinnamon, baking powder, coconut flakes, chocolate and orange zest
- In the flax egg (after it has become a gel) mix the vanilla and almond milk and pour over the dry ingredients. Mix them well.
- Pour the mix in baking tray and cook for 20 minutes.
