Kale chips

Kale chips and chickpea croutons top my savoury snack list. They are delicious, nutritious and the ultimate quilt free snack; and so easy and quick to make. So next time you are reaching out to a pack of crisps or other snack, bake some kale chips instead!

Kale is considered a nutritional powerhouse, filled with so many nutrients and vitamins: folate, magnesium, iron, high in Vitamin K, C and A, calcium and filled with powerful antioxidants! Need i say more?!

Fruity Green smoothie

‘Eat your veggies please’ ‘Eat your fruit please’. These words still echo in my head!! I remember back then I really really didn’t want my veggies and rarely ate my fruit! 

Now days, I get so excited with coming up with recipes with as many greens and fruits as possible! This smoothie has spinach, kale, mango and pineapple – so bursting with flavour and vitamins C, K, A, B2 and B6, magnesium, protein, amongst other!

Quinoa stir fry

I know it’s a bit of a cliche, but I am crazy about superfoods… or if you don’t like the term superfoods, foods that are good for you! Quinoa, Soy beans, Kale, Broccoli,Avocado, Ginger and Turmeric are such foods. So, if you put them all together in a plate… well your body and health love you a bit more!

Kale Pesto

If you are a pesto fan why not add kale in your next recipe, since kale is super nutritious! Don’t worry about the bitter taste of kale (if you are not a big fan) because you don’t feel it at all.  And again, it’s such a pleasure to have delicious, nutritious food with such little cooking time!

Pesto is another great sauce because it’s so versatile: you can use it in pasta, sandwiches, pizzas, toasted bread, as a dip ….
