Almond bites with cinnamon and honey

These are truly my new favourite snack! I guess it’s the combination of cinnamon and honey that does it for me! Such a great snack to have with you, at the office or on the go. 

I came up with this recipe as a way to use the almond meal, after I made my almond milk. And it’s such a pleasure to have such delicious snacks that are ready so quickly.

I always use honey from a small local producer. If you don’t want to use honey, agave or maple should taste as good.

Easy bircher muesli

I think this is probably my new breakfast obsession! Super filling, super healthy and soo tasty! Oats are: low in Saturated Fat, and very low in Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Dietary Fiber, Thiamin, Magnesium and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Manganese. Chia seeds are: a source of plant protein, very low in Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Calcium and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Dietary Fiber and Manganese. Pumpkin seeds: good source of Protein, Magnesium and Zinc.

So, why not give it a go!

Spiced Pineapple and Mango smoothie bowl

The mornings are warm these days, so what’s better than a tropical delicious smoothie bowl. Smoothies and smoothie bowls are a great way to include your fruits and veggies in your daily routine, and the morning is a great time to start! Pineapples and mangoes are packed with antioxidants, vitamin c, fiber and potassium,  ginger is know amongst others for its inflammatory properties, chia seeds are a source of protein and oats a great source of fiber.

Mulberry Lemony smoothie

I know it is a bit of a cliche, but it is really all about the small and simple things in life!! For example, this morning i discovered how amazingly delicious mulberries are with lemon!!

It’s the season of fresh mulberries now and I am going through my mulberry frenzy phase! Hence this week’s posts are all about mulberries!

Confession: i did not know about these little gems – likely a chef friend of mine taught me everything i needed to know!

I usually don’t write long prologues, but just a couple of words on mulberries: highly antioxidant and a great source of vitamins (A,C,E, K and B compex) and minerals (iron,potassium, manganese, and magnesium) essential to good health.

Nut butter, fruit and pumpkin seeds Porridge

I find that if you have a good, healthy and delicious breakfast usually the whole day goes well!  I love porridge in the winter and find it very energizing when I come up with a great recipe!  It helps me make up my brain and body. So this porridge is a keeper. It boosts you with energy and fuels you for the entire morning.

Matcha latte

Matcha is an easy and simple way to add powerful health benefits to your everyday diet. Amongst other benefits is packed with antioxidants, boosts metabolism, is rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins! So if you know all these why not incorporate it in your daily routine. As a tea, as a latte, in smoothies or sweets! This latte is delicious you won’t want it to finish.
